The under-extractor straining can with a sieve that does not clog!
With a 4- to 6-frame self-turning extractor or a 9-frame radial extractor you can normally work for a whole day before the fine sieve needs cleaning.
The under-extractor straining can is primarily intended for straining during honey extraction. It features two welded pinch valves that cut the honey cleanly. The upper pinch valve is used to discharge the strained honey into lower containers. The lower pinch valve is used to empty the can. The under-extractor straining can contains a fine sieve made of high-quality mesh that provides a high honey flow rate. The can is food-safe.
The additional coarse strainer with holder allows the following:
- With the coarse strainer you catch the larger wax particles so they don't enter the under-extractor straining can.
- Wax particles caught this way can be removed more easily from the additional coarse strainer than if you had to skim them off the surface of the under-extractor can where they would otherwise collect.
- The combination of coarse strainer and under-extractor straining can has proven to be the best setup for cleaning honey during extraction, which is why we strongly recommend it. With this combination you get completely clean honey.

Usage
- The under-extractor straining can is placed directly beneath the outlet valve of the honey extractor. During the straining process the lower pinch valve of the under-extractor straining can must be closed.
- The honey then flows continuously from the extractor into the under-extractor straining can through the sieve. The level of honey rises to the upper pinch valve and then flows through the upper pinch valve into a receiving bucket/container. A filled under-extractor straining can allows continuous straining.
- With the additional coarse strainer you catch the larger wax particles so they don't enter the under-extractor straining can.
Due to the high weight of the honey and the large area of the inner sieve, any remaining wax, debris and pollen residue clog the sieve of this under-extractor straining can only very slowly from top to bottom.
- The remaining wax, debris and pollen residues rise to the surface and can be easily skimmed off with the coarse strainer.
- At the end the under-extractor straining can is emptied via the lower pinch valve.
Cleaning
- To clean, place the under-extractor straining can on a stool.
- Let the strained honey run out through the lower pinch valve into a bucket.
- Remove the sieve from the can and clean it — preferably from the outside with a cold water jet or shower.
- When the sieve is dry, return it to the can and you can continue working.
